Dr. Jose Rizal Park on Beacon Hill has one of my favorite views of Seattle. From here the city opens up below—downtown, the stadiums, Elliott Bay, and the sweep of I-5 and I-90—all changing dramatically with the light and weather. I’ve photographed this view in everything from fiery sunrises and glowing sunsets to fog, storm clouds, blue hour, and city lights after dark. It’s a familiar Seattle viewpoint, but it rarely looks the same twice.
