Seattle Greenlake Park Photography

Green Lake Park has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been skating, running, walking, photographing, and simply spending time here since childhood, and it remains one of Seattle’s most distinctive public spaces. The roughly three-mile path around the lake is busy from morning until night, but there are still quiet moments everywhere if you look for them. The lake also has a wonderfully odd Seattle history. At one point there were proposals to fill portions of it and turn the area into a golf course, and decades later Led Zeppelin played here. That mix of neighborhood park, city history, recreation, wildlife, and unexpected stories is part of what keeps bringing me back with a camera.
