For many years I was the social media photographer for Sky View Observatory at the Columbia Center, with unique 24/7 access to the 73rd floor and its extraordinary view over Seattle. That access let me photograph the city in conditions most visitors never see—before sunrise, late at night, during storms, fog, snow, dramatic sunsets, and those rare mornings when clouds moved through the streets below.
From this height, Seattle becomes an entirely different landscape, stretching from Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains to Mount Rainier, Lake Washington, the Space Needle, and the city grid far below. This collection brings together some of my favorite photographs from years of returning to that view in constantly changing light and weather.
