Mount Rainier Tipsoo Lake Naches Loop Photography

The Tipsoo Lake and Naches Peak Loop area near Chinook Pass offers some of the most beautiful alpine scenery in Washington's Cascade Mountains. Reflective mountain lakes, quiet tarns, colorful summer wildflowers, and sweeping views of Mount Rainier make this one of my favorite places to photograph. As the winter snow melts, the meadows come alive with purple lupine, Indian paintbrush, and other alpine wildflowers. Calm mornings bring beautiful reflections of Mount Rainier, while soft evening light transforms the surrounding peaks and meadows. I've returned to this area countless times over the years, exploring familiar trails and discovering new compositions in the changing light. Once the snow is gone, I can't seem to stay away.
