Orchids are among the most sculptural flowers I photograph, with delicate petals, unusual forms, and an extraordinary range of color and pattern. Their complexity makes them especially rewarding subjects for close, careful studies.
I often photograph orchids using soft natural light, selective focus, and shallow depth of field, allowing individual blooms to stand apart while surrounding flowers and foliage dissolve into color. Some images emphasize the intricate structure of a single flower, while others explore the repetition and rhythm of multiple blooms.
This collection brings together orchid photographs made over many years, from intimate close-ups to softer, more atmospheric floral studies. Fine-art prints are available in a variety of sizes and finishes. If you are looking for a particular orchid, color, or composition that you don’t see here, please ask—I may have it in the archive.
