Join me for a drone-focused exploration of the rolling fields, textural contours, and sweeping tones of the Palouse region of southeast Washington. Early June brings vibrant greens, soft shadow play, and abstract patterns that look incredible from the air.
We’ll meet in Colfax and carpool through the countryside for sunrise and sunset flights. Weather permitting, we may also visit **Steptoe Butte** for a sunrise or sunset session — a spectacular high vantage point overlooking the Palouse from above. Midday hours are free for rest, food, editing, or scouting. DSLR/mirrorless cameras are welcome but not required — this workshop is primarily aerial.
The Palouse is one of the most visually unique landscapes in North America, and drones reveal patterns and textures impossible to see from ground level. We also include a possible sunrise or sunset visit to **Steptoe Butte**, offering sweeping vistas and long shadow play across the valley.
Ideal for pilots who want to elevate their aerial landscape work and create meaningful, cinematic images from above.
