Large rainforest trees in Southeast Alaska.
“Some trees just call to me as I wander...”

A monthly photograph and handwritten field note from Alaska.
Every day brings another notification. Another email. Another bill. Another advertisement.
I wanted to send something different. Something slower. Something real.
Once a month, I head into the forests, coastlines, mountains, and glaciers of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest looking for one little jewel of nature and light — a photograph worth sharing.
When I find it, I make a small fine art print, write a field note about where it was made, and send both directly to members.
Think of it as a letter from the field.
I'm Mike, a photographer living between Southeast Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
Every month I head into quiet forests, coastlines, mountains, and glaciers looking for one small moment worth sharing.
Sometimes it's a dramatic sunrise. More often it's simply beautiful light on moss, an old tree beside a forgotten trail, or the stillness after rain.
When I find one, I make a small fine art print, write a handwritten note about where I found it, and send both through the mail.
I hope opening the envelope feels like hearing from a friend who has been wandering somewhere beautiful.

“The evening light reached the Coast Range for only a few minutes. It felt too beautiful not to share...”
The Alaska Mail Club is for people who want something quieter than a feed and more personal than another email.
Each month, a photograph and field note arrive in your mailbox with a stamp — a small piece of Alaska, sent by hand.
One quiet place. Once a month.
