This workshop is for photographers interested in timing, observation, and restraint — not chasing volume, trends, or guaranteed results.
We will work slowly and deliberately, beginning with how to read a space: the quality of light, the relationship between subject and background, and the emotional tone of the scene. From there, we’ll explore how distance, focus, and timing shape an image, allowing photographs to emerge rather than be forced.
The emphasis is not on producing a large number of images, but on developing judgment — knowing when to move, when to wait, and when a photograph is finished.
You may leave with one image or twenty. The goal is not volume — it’s discernment.
Locations and setups are chosen for quality of light and flexibility, not notoriety or checklists. The pace is calm, the environment controlled, and the focus is on learning how to see rather than how to arrive.
If you enjoy slowing down, working with uncertainty, and making photographs you’ll want to live with, this workshop will feel natural.
